What is working together like?

Los Angeles Birth Client Reviews and Testimonials

Over the last 11 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting families throughout Los Angeles as they welcome their babies — each story as unique as the people living it.

The experiences shared below come from families I’ve supported during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Their words reflect what I value most about this work: calm presence, clear communication, and wholehearted support that meets each family where they are.

I’m deeply grateful to the parents who’ve taken the time to share their reflections here and on platforms like Google, Yelp, and DoulaMatch. If you’re considering doula support, I hope their stories offer a glimpse into what this kind of care can feel like.

“Rebecca is a quiet, calming force of nature.

My wife and I were extremely grateful to have her doula for the birth of both our children, each under unique circumstances. As a partner, you want to be as supportive as possible, and having such a thoughtful guide like Rebecca made it so much easier to focus on being present for the emotional needs of my wife. For our first child, Rebecca steered my wife through an unmedicated birth, all during Covid, at a time of heightened stress for mothers and healthcare professionals alike. Looking back, I can’t imagine not having her there.

Rebecca is extremely emotionally intuitive. During my wife’s second birth, she was able to gently push back when an extremely well-meaning nurse was hurrying my wife to deliver a little more quickly than was perhaps necessary. I know it sounds extreme, but I feel like in the tense setting of a delivery room, this was one of the greatest acts of diplomacy I’ve ever witnessed. I don’t know that, in the stress of the moment, I would have been able to so calmly advocate for my wife in such a tactful manner. And that’s exactly what you get working with Rebecca—a thoughtful, experienced, steady hand to guide you through the incredible process.”

“Rebecca is simply the best! I am grateful to have had her as my doula for the births of both my children.

When I was pregnant with my first during the height of Covid, Rebecca provided me the knowledge, support, and warmth I desperately needed during a very challenging time. It felt so daunting to have a baby and I felt unsure of myself and scared of how labor would be. Although I was getting excellent care from my OB and medical team, I still felt a desire for someone who understood all the intricacies of pregnancy and labor and could support my emotional needs in a greater capacity.

Rebecca understood my anxieties and approached all my wishes and concerns with great empathy and non-judgment. She guided me through the pains of labor with the most amazing calming presence I’ve ever witnessed in a person—it was truly magical how she put me at ease. She knew exactly what to say and how to encourage me. I came out on the other side feeling empowered, confident, and happy. I don’t think I would have had such a positive experience if it weren’t for her. Four years later, I’m pregnant for the second time and knew I wanted Rebecca at my side again. I am honored to have her be a part of both my birth stories!

“We felt genuinely accompanied throughout our whole experience.

Multiple times throughout my pregnancy and postpartum period, my partner and I turned to each other to say -- "I am so grateful for Rebecca." Some highlights: Rebecca walking us through a creative card game she created to demystify the non-linear experience of labor; her stepping in with a well-timed question for the nurse to slow things down and let me catch my breath; her giving me the most delicious slice of clementine in the quiet moments after my baby arrived; her cooking us a warm meal in our home once we'd settled back in. We felt genuinely accompanied throughout our whole experience.”

“Rebecca was my doula for both of my babies, and I could not have asked for better support and care.

Let me tell you! You can't plan your birth or what you'll need! That is why having a seasoned expert on your team who can help you navigate the journey with tender care and wide-ranging knowledge is so valuable. Rebecca was able to confidently and sensitively navigate both birth center and home birth care in my personal experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing this service to families.

“Rebecca was a wonderful doula for our first child.

She helped my wife (and myself) feel safe and informed throughout the process, and really took our wishes as parents into account - tailor-making our journey in the most supportive way possible. I can't imagine us doing this without Rebecca by our side.”

…when we met Rebecca we knew she was the perfect fit for us.

She has the most calming, confident, present, and nurturing energy about her. I knew I wanted to try for an unmedicated labor, so having someone whom my partner and I both trusted and connected with was very important to us.  She was equally supportive to my partner throughout or labor journey which was so comforting for me.  We had such a beautiful, unmedicated birthing experience with her for our first baby, that we didn't think twice when it came to having her by our side for our second baby, two years later.  We love, love, love you Rebecca!

I had an incredible experience having Rebecca as my doula for the birth of my son!

Before working with her, I didn’t know much about the birthing process or what to expect, but thankfully, I found Rebecca.
We had three sessions before labor where she walked me through what happens physically during birth, different situations that might come up, and what to expect postpartum. This personalized education gave me confidence and helped me feel empowered to make decisions that reflected my values and priorities.

When labor began, Rebecca was there for me from the very start—checking in over the phone, helping me understand where I was in the process, and giving me guidance on what might be most helpful as things progressed. I gave birth at Cedars, and once we arrived at the delivery room, I cannot overstate how relieved I was to have her there. She was a calm, intelligent, and informed presence at my side—someone I could trust to help me navigate decisions and keep me grounded in a very intense moment. When questions came up, I always felt reassured talking them through with her.

Beyond her knowledge and advocacy, Rebecca also has a gift for capturing the beauty of the experience. She took such special photos of my son’s birth and our very first moments together—memories I will cherish forever.

Her support didn’t stop once the birth was over. I also deeply valued our postpartum sessions, where Rebecca’s warmth, wisdom, and listening ear helped me feel truly seen as I transitioned into motherhood. She offered not just her own insight but also incredible resources that resonated deeply with me. Her calm presence soothed many of my anxieties and reminded me that I wasn’t alone in this new chapter.

Rebecca is kind, caring, and completely genuine. She’s professional, grounded, and makes you feel safe, supported, and heard. I couldn’t recommend her more, and I’ve already asked her to be my doula for my next baby!
